Homeborn Boy, Homeborn Girl

I was there
To welcome you in
The first to see
Your chinnie chin chin
Your birth cries
Caused my heart to race
And made happy tears
Roll down my face

Homeborn boy, Homeborn girl
Homeborn Joy in my world
Little bald heads, without any curls
Homeborn boy, Homeborn girl

I hugged you up
Right next to me
And you looked
Just like a fuzzy peach
I knew I'd seen
A miracle
My cup of joy
was over full

Homeborn boy, Homeborn girl
Homeborn Joy in my world
Little bald heads, without any curls
Homeborn boy, Homeborn girl

I put you to
Your mother's breast
And, yes, I knew
We were very blessed
I will never
Forget the day
You bright lights
Came shining our way

Homeborn boy, Homeborn girl
Homeborn Joy in my world
Little bald heads, without any curls
Homeborn boy, Homeborn girl

Grow and grow
Way up to the sky
From the nest
Someday you're gonna fly
But, for now,
Come sit at my knee
And learn to sing
This glad song with me

Homeborn boy, Homeborn girl
Homeborn Joy in my world
Little bald heads, without any curls
Homeborn boy, Homeborn girl

------- Author's Notes -------

This one is dedicated to my three youngest children, Angel, Dylan and Zimmerman, all born at home. I caught them with my own hands and cut and tied their umbilical cords. It was a miraculous event to behold! ****With Love, Dad

Okay, Ben, I'm convinced!

Ben,

You are with out a doubt, that mountain MAN you wrote about. A heart as big as Texas, love as deep as the Grand Canyon, Yep, I'm convinced, Ben you are one of the few, a true, honest, full of love, Mountain Man.

Strong enough to write words this sweet, gee Ben, sure enough a sign, you are a Mountain Of A Man.

Thanks Ben.
Martin V
Hey, guess you will have to get a new Stetson, two sizes bigger?
