Where Did It Go?
25 April, 2002

Where did it go? It used to be here
A place where dreams could dwell
Stories of fantasy and innovations
and of beauty I could tell

Commercialism has taken its place
Go here so you can buy
Prices high and quality low
Tell me, Where did it go?

I remember there was a garden here
Parrots that kissed your nose
I remember wild beauty here
But I guess this is how life goes

I remember how this used to be fun
with lots of sights and sound
shows, dreams and new ideas
Please tell me where has it gone

What's left is only a memory
of a place that used to be
where an adult could feel like a child
Tell me, where did it go

------- Author's Notes -------

Things are always changing and not always for the better.
Those beautiful places that people used to like to go to enjoy, are now commercialized into extinction. So sad that the children will never see the beauty that once was.
