Such Is Life
24 March, 2002
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)

vinebar

Here I am setting alone
pushed around till I am out of the way
forgotten

My Back is crooked from the abuse
my legs are strong
yet I do not run

I am here, always
watching you eat your fancy meals
without care

Ignored, I am
until you step on me to make yourself bigger
What do I expect

One day I will be tossed away
Unneeded, broken, replaced by something new
Still, I just sit here

Ah well, such is the life of a chair
