I Watch

I watched as the skies were no longer friendly
I watched as the giants were shot and fell
I watched as power became temporarily powerless
I watch as a world outraged, now mourns

I watch as the pieces are put together
I watch as pieces are removed
I watch as the people pull together
I watch as life ends and survives

I watch as the tragedy unfolds
I watch as miracles thrive
I watch as heroes of unknown triumphs prevail
I watch as a country reacts

I watch as they search for survivors
I watch as they search for answers
I watch as they search for murders
I watch for the answer to why

------- Author's Notes -------

I join in the mourning of the thousands lost in New York
and in Washington DC.. My heart goes out to the families of those who have lost loved ones and friends in this awful act of terrorism. Also, to all Americans whose lives have been invaded by this. I am proud of our country as we unite during this time of such horror
