Where Have The Gypsies Gone

Where, oh please, tell me where
Where have the Gypsies gone?
I could use a place to hide
Where, oh please, tell me where
Where have the Gypsies gone?
On your wagon let me ride

Surely music is playing
Around a campfire in the night
Where Gypsy children are swaying
Dark eyes reflecting firelight

My wheels, my wheels are turning
Spinning like the blades of a fan
My heart, my heart is burning
I feel my soul sinking in the sand

I'm living in a world gone crazy
People reeling right out of their minds
I know there's something better, baby,
It can't be too hard to find

Where, oh please, tell me where
Where have the Gypsies gone?
I could use a place to hide
Where, oh please, tell me where
Where have the Gypsies gone?
On your wagon let me ride
On your wagon let me ride
On your wagon let me....ride

If, you find them, let me know.

Ben,

I consider Gypsies to be among the most unique, cultures around and have actually, known a few Kings. One served with me in the Marines and was good Marine. I consider them to be full loving people, they have an interesting life style. This is an interesting poem, just wondered how the one-cell-engine of yours came up with it?

A cool poem!

Thank you Martin and Terrie* ,

Thank you Martin and Terrie*, I really do appreciated your comments! Yes, Martin, when I find where the Gypsies have gone, I will let you know. The way I came up with this is simple. I like many things about the Gypsy lifestyle of lots of music, dancing and traveling around in a painted wagon appeals to something in my heart! I would like to do that someday myself! And, Terrie*, again thank you for very nice, encouraging words about my writings! The both of you are too much!

Nice

I don't think I have ever known a gypsy, but that is beautiful. It made tears in my eyes. That's really awesome Dad.
