So Much Time

Beside the road
It's another stop
At one of those
All night coffee shops
Sitting here alone
Turning through my thoughts
So far away from home
And what have I got

I got so much time
On my hands
Broken glass
And burning sand
I'm thinking about
All my dreams and plans
I got so much time
On my my hands

The waitress here
Ain't wearing no ring
Her voice is clear
Just like a bird that sings
She calls the cook
And I turn my head
Yes, I take a look
I hear every word she says

I got so much time
On my hands
Broken glass
And burning sand
I'm thinking about
All my dreams and plans
I got so much time
On my my hands

Now there's a woman
Who says she loves me
And she says she wants
Nobody but me
She said, Honey I know
You've got to run with that band
But Darling wont you please,
Please call when you can

'cause I got so much time
On my hands
Broken glass
And burning sand
I'm thinking about
All my dreams and plans
I got so much time
On my my hands
I got so much time
On my hands
