This planet needs
More people like you
Someone who cares
About love and truth
See that you
Don't follow the crowd
To be heard
You don't have to shout

Your eyes are open
Your heart is clear
Your dreams are something
Precious and dear
Share your vision
With everyone
I'm sure there are many
Souls you will touch

Oh, oh...Jaybo
Stand and let
Your brightness show
Oh, oh...Jaybo
Take all the best...
Let the rest go
Oh, oh...Jaybo

------- Author's Notes -------

This one is dedicated to my son, Jamin, whom I love very much. It is best read with a reggie beat right in the center of your brain, I think!

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiicccce!

I relly liked it mon! LOL, I loved this poem, and it's so true. It's all gotta be the loveliness that comes from within. Nice Work! One question, how did you come to name it "Jaybo". Thanx!

Enchantress, thank you for

Enchantress, thank you for your very niiiiiiiiiiiiiiccce!
comment! Ha! Ha! In answer to your question, "Jaybo" is an endearing nickname I came up with for my beautiful boy and it somehow inspired me to write a little REGGAE tune for him. Even though I am not Jamaican, it came out okay! I am relly so happy that you like it, mon! Again, thank you SO much for your encouraging words!

I really enjoyed it. Your son must be a wonderful person , sounds like somebody I'd like to know. Good job at expressing him.

Thank you, Megan, for your encouraging comments on Jaybo, and on Only September as well! Yes, I think you'd like "Jaybo", a lot of people really do. He wants to be a teacher when he grows up, but he says I won't have to call him "Professor". Ha! Ha! Haaa! Yeah, I guess I'll let him live! Ha! Ha! Haaaaa! Thanks again, I do appreciate your kind words!
