it has been five lonesome years
I celebrate our 18th Anniversary
without you at my side
since you've been gone
you I continue to miss

as I sit here upon your grave
I feel the empty space
that burns where my heavy heart
once occupied on happier days
I give it to you
before I destroy it furthermore

not one day went by
that I did not hear from you
now many days have passed me by
I can feel them there but...
no more words of love are ever heard
you always brought me joy

never afraid to show
the weaker side of your affection
shared our love with the world
always seemed to bring
the universe to a halt

to safely escort me
to where I wanted to go
you were my white knight
gave more than you allowed yourself to take

I miss you my darlin'
I have reservations in my dreams
that hold the sweet memory of you
My guardian Angel now you will be
until I know what our Lord has in store for me
I promise to be faithful and true
until I'm back with you.....
