It takes time so maybe another year will do
I'll fall head over heals in love with a man
A fantasy of a figure captured only in dreams
The kind of love that no matter the length
With each awakening day is strong and brand new

It takes time so maybe a month will do
Deep inside of me I'll be content
Happy with all I've done, all I am
With the kind of tranquility
That touches only few

It takes time so maybe a week will do
Maybe if I search through every place
Look behind every closed door
Take a second glance at every face
I'll find you

It may take time and God will only tell
How long life can be when alone
And how happy you'll feel inside when you find the right man
I won't rush a day by
I'll cherish each hour contained
Each second I'll hold my breath in hopes
In the wait
That my prince will come along
Snatch me up
My entire world changed
