7 Days A Week, 1 By 1, Always In Heart
12 August, 2002
Author: Maranda Berkley
Every step I take seems to push me further away
When Monday comes I see nothing has changed
The distance between multiplies with each day
With oaths and signatures declaring, now waved
A single day I do everything I can multiplied by 7 a week
I don't care if it hurts me, if nothing more maybe it'll change me for the better
But I'm finding out that only time will tell
And every step I take for 7 days is pushed back
One at a time I now have to take
The distance seems long and my state of mind wants to walk it all
But I take my time because in God I trust
And trust is fate
Day by single day I'll do what I can
And what I don't finish will have to wait
Why dream about tomorrow while you're still a part of today
You're too far to touch, too far to take
But my mind won't change, in God I trust
And this is my fate
So I'll wait
For the time that's right, when you take me away
You're so far and though I'd love to rush the weeks along
I'll handle myself one by one
Because you're still with me, in heart, every day
