Waiting In Palms

Waiting in my palms
Never mentioning a single word
Fingers down
Hands up
Waiting for love
In palms
Like a gypsy's crystal ball
Showing gentle snow fall
Changing leaves
Sweating suns
Blooming springs
And the glare of the overzealous stars
Showing every season
Every being
Every mountain needed to be climbed
Every monumental event failed
Your kisses on my hand
All stain my mind like ink
All show in my palms
Leaking through my nails
Waiting in my palms
Is the perfect spot
For the perfect man
To make the move
With a crystal slipper
Forgetting about whether or not
The shoe fits
Taking my hand
Knowing full well in his heart
I am it
