One Way Street

I'm the one-way street
You'll run down forever
Never looking back
To the past
You won't ever remember
Side streets blur into buildings
Tall trees save you
From hurt and empty feelings
The road becomes straight forward
Not bent with hiding secrets
You'll see for miles
As you continue running wild
And the road will turn into gold
Letting you know this feeling is pure
My one-way street will never end
Constantly loving
Helping your broken heart to mend
And at the cross roads
Where you can turn back
Or keep going
You'll continue on knowing
You won't have regrets
Or feel any more pain
I'm the one-way street
You'll run down forever
Looking to the other streets
Or back to the past never
