Majesty's Feet
17 May, 2002

vinebar

I fall down a deep dark hole
Of one minds eye
As bitter times
With pupils wide
Pick up knives they find
Along the way
Telling me to cut my wrists
And I hold my hands together
Refusing to show their face
Telling me to bend down low
And kiss the majesty's feet
Before I go
And I fall down far
I sink into
I seep
Into
I weep to be set free
The bitter times
Rip ribs from my side
And the trumpets cry out loud
Saying it's my time to go
To bend down low
And kiss the majesty's feet
The ends of a woman
I don't even know
And I refuse their chants
Holding my hands fast
Never intending to let go
But bitter times
Persist
With pupils wide
Threatening my skin
With their knives
Threatening my life
And I give in
And stare into the darkness
Of one minds eye
Kissing the majesty's feet
Before I go
