A Real Friend To Lean On
7 April, 2002

A real friend would stick by you through anything
Even if they love someone you don't
A real friend would love you enough to love them
Even if their love won't
A real friend would change the world for you
If you asked for a helping hand
A real friend would pick you up and carry you
When you are too weak to stand
A real friend would be waiting by the phone
To pick it up and listen to all you say
A real friend would be able and willing
To help you in every way
A real friend would quote and say:
"Lean on me
When you're not strong
I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For, it won't be long
Till I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on"
