(Some Friends Are Foes - People Like that, Nobody Wants To Know)

"You'll hate me by summer"
You said it cause you knew from the start it was true
You and her were growing closer
You are I were through
You said, "There's better"
Did you mean for me, or YOU
And why did I still get letters
Emails saying, "I love you"
My pictures were left untouched
But the entire time, I was being f**cked
Did you ever tell me the truth
You begged ME to be a friend
Begged ME to be real and never leave
I made the promise and stood by it no matter how bad it hurt
But is that the way you really feel
How can I be something to you
That you won't be to me
A real friend you'll never have
The same from you, I just don't feel
Were you really depressed about all the fighting
Because you were losing you love and best friend
Or because you were too much of a pansy
To tell me "this is the end"
Meanwhile I've been overlooking the people who really care
The ones that don't hide behind my back
That tell me straight up what's going on
You tell me fiction, they tell me fact
The moral is this:
Never believe so easily that someone is what they seem
Never be too trusting
People will be relentless with hurting you
Regardless of how you feel for them
Happy, sad, mad or numb
Decide for YOURSELF which one you want to be
Don't let an untrue friend pave your way for you
Those are people in your life you DO NOT NEED
