My heart is but a fragile rose
withering in the wind.

Each thorn pierces deep inside my soul.
Tears form like petals on my eyes,
and I am sightless.

My eyes shall never see a cloudless sky,
while my heart remains a fragile rose.

Hey Tammy! Darn, you're good! Every stanza shows the kind of hurt that you're feeling during your heartbreak..... Fragile rose.... Shedding its last petals, and withering away.... How your heart is bleeding by the thorns and thickets of heartbreak....... Makes me cry..... This is such a tearful moment for me, but I know you'll come through because you have the determination, and the mind-set to cope, even when it's difficult... beautiful heartfelt words, listen to Meri..she has great insights and her words hug ones soul, a young heart with the wisdom and knowledge of an adult..excellent piece..fragile hearts "roses" do mend." mind did..it took 13 years but it mended... i shut so many doors that were open to me fearing the change...God doesn't carry us far just to drop us he has a pupose for everything, just keep your eyes open for his gifts......i'm in a re-birth..Terrie*
