It Is Today

When all is all and nothing becomes life,
Can I say again, you enchant me.
When notions of far reaching time sleep with me
And words I know escape me,
I would fly across the universe to see you again.
And if in a moment neither of us knew about,
My purpose was to love you, I would look into your eyes and indulge myself.
And from the abyss inhabited by stars, I would cradle you with gentleness and hold you with intention.
When you laugh, when you dance when your tongue finds my lips. When you touch my face or brush my knee, when you sit
silently after we make love.
When your heart races in close embrace, when you smile, when you cry, when you love me.
I miss you, your sober way of seeing the world, then throwing yourself off saying "catch me baby"
And someday, if God so desires,it will come when as friends we find ourselves in a small cafe', or strolling along the boardwalk, or the shores of an emerald sea,
I will look into your eyes, and know
It Is Today.
