Thinking About Her Still

We used to buy gourmet coffee
And spend our evenings in the park
She awakened feelings in me
That touched the core of my heart
She had eyes like a gypsy
A voice like an angel's song
And as quick as lightning striking
I turned, and she was gone

It was so easy to start dreaming
We might make make music and romance
Oh, yes, I was even thinking
She'd be my partner in love's dance
Her kisses drove me so crazy
I wanted to freeze space and time
When she left I went to my knees praying
She'd come back and be all mine

And I'm thinking about her still
These memories won't let me be
On this lonely, lonely hill
I guess for a long, long time
For a long, long time I will
I will...be thinking about her still

Makes Me Want....

When you read a poem, especially about love, and it makes you actually crave what the words said-it's damn good! Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful poem that creates hope in me that somebody in particular thinks of me still.
Beautiful.

How lovely...

Makes me think that someday my soulmate will say that, even though I don't know who he is yet. Makes me want to seek him and melt in his arms. Beautiful and romantic at the same time. Gorgeous as well!

Beautiful

I was skimming through poems to read, since I'm a poem fanatic, and I saw this one on love, needing to read it. I'm very fascinated with love poems, for I, too, write some. This one lead me to tears, literally. It's simply beautiful, in every way. And it reminded me of memories. It was wonderful. Great job. :-)

How can I reply, to words that make me cry?

Ben,
Sharing gourmet coffee with the one that warm's your heart, must be like being there, when the plane arrives, and she says, with teary eyes, God have I missed you.

Ben, your heart and soul, seem to have made a pact, to write poems of the heart, faster than I can reply.
So, if you will pardon me, its easier to write a poem about you, than to reply, to your heart's, seeing eye.

Dreamer will post it soon and it called "The Last Song," sounds sad I know, but it is not, the poem is about, love coming home.

Ray-Gards to you our poetic friend,

MartinV
