Midnight Visitors
Author: Bench

Some come swooping in,
Others seem to glide,
A few just pop out of my closet
In the middle of the night.

They visit me when I'm about to sleep
Making me shiver in my bed.
Oh and how they love to talk
In the middle of the night.

I try to listen as much as I can
Because I'm scared to think about
What might happen to me if I don't
In the middle of the night.

Most of them I do not know
A few I have known before
They ask me to pray, pray, pray
In the middle of the night.

As the dawn draws near
I fall off to sleep
Dreaming of my visitors
In the middle of the night.

Simply Divine!

I loved it! I loved it! I loved it! It felt like it was so profound and full of fantasy! This poem should be entered in a contest! I loved times 100! Nice work Bench!

Thanks guys. As a matter if fact this really happens to me. The poem does not convey the "scariness" of it all though. Just don't want to scare me all the more!
