Grief's Monster

My Dearest Dad,

My spirit collapsed
when I heard you were
beckoned through
death’s dark tunnel,
and welcomed by
the radiant warmth
of familiar faces.

I wish death’s clock
had waited
for us to say
goodbye.

When will
grief’s appetite
be satisfied?
-- the monster
gnaws away
inside my chest
until it’s raw.

My mind’s awhirl
with words
I could have said
last time we met;
I hope you hear
my whispers now.

I love you Dad

…and miss you.

Cap, your Dad heard every word, before, you spoke

Cap,

As you know, Dads and daughters are a special pair, sharing life and beyond, your dad heard every word, he hears them from your heart and he is NOT gone, just changed locations. From his new place, you can see his face as the morning sun and his winking eyes at night, as he continues to love and watch over you. Now, the two of you can speak to each other at anytime and he will hear every word and, most of all, he will reply. Dads and Daughters, are a special pair.

My heart is in these words Cap.

Cap,

i feel the pain in your soul
and the tears from your heart
as you grief,
i too was extremely close
to my dad.
may Gods loving arms
embrace and cradle you
as your comforted
by the words of many of your friends
that hold you dear
to their hearts
as your precious memories
never depart..
may your tears
be your vision
of his new found light...
Hugs and Prayers
to you and your family..
w/Gods love,Terrie*

Hi Barb

Thanks Barb ... I think it would have been too much for me to hear, even if someone else was reading it.

Hi Terrie

Your words have touched my heart -- I feel your embrace -- I know you understand.

Thanks so much

Cap,

it was the vision of your bleedin' heart
that we came to understand..
God simply could not allow for you to face this alone
the embrace is not mine alone..
it is of a tribal of friends..
whom walk you thru this darkness..
Terrie*
