Hop aboard my time machine.
Let's see what we can see.
Would you like to go back to yesteryear
When we were young and free.

You were just sixteen,
When we shared our first kiss,
In the front seat of my old Ford.
Gee, it's fun to reminisce.

I was so afraid to kiss you.
You were quiet and very shy.
But one kiss was all it took,
And our hearts were riding high.

You sighed and said you loved me.
I whispered, 'I love you too.'
It was hard to control our passions,
But it was what we had to do.

For two long years we dated,
Never went all the way.
Until your eighteenth birthday,
What a memorable day!!

Now that was fifty years ago.
The years went by so fast.
We knew that night in my old Ford
Our love was going to last.

We had a wonderful wedding
Raised our family.
Our love is still so very strong
And we know it will always be.
