Tiumphant Day

A rooster crows and prompts the sun to rise.
He stretches out bestirring arms and braids
his crimson ribbons through the purpling skies,
creating tapestries in lustrous shades.

While Zephyr breathes, caressing leaves awake,
the sparrows wing and twitter melodies.
Then tongues of fire lick the sky, to break
across the azure hues of earth’s reprise.
When dew is sprinkled over fields, it clings
like moistened lace, exuding earth’s bouquet.
Creation beats it’s rhythm; nature sings
her lively chorus, stirring dawn’s array.

As earth’s crescendo peaks, a warmth is spread;
the sun now leaps triumphant from his bed.

Hi Barb

It's taken me so long to write this -- most of it's over my head too... LOL!!

Thanks Barb
