Go Light On My Heart

Will we stand by each other
While the world rages outside?
Will we remain friends and lovers
Or am I throwing sand at the tide?
Do what I can to prove I love you
Now, how can I draw you near?
Show me the dance that I must do
Just so the steps are clear

You have seen me from all sides
What more can I now reveal?
I stand here stripped of all pride
Do you know how naked I feel?
You know I long to have and hold you
Far beyond a night and day
I meant ev'ry last word I told you
Don't pick tonight to turn away

Baby, go light,
Go light on my heart
Baby, go light,
Go light on my heart
I'm burning
Like a soul that's been branded
There's no need
To be so heavy handed
Baby, go light,
Go light on my heart

who hasn't felt like this at least once? you've successfully captured and put words to what so many others try to hide.
