Together We Stay

My thoughts are overwhelmed with you,
Each time I turn I see you in my eye,
I hear a voice and could swear it is you,
A love that past so long ago we moved along,
Time has past the both of us by,
Still each day you walk across my heart,
Where you once before left footprints to stay,
To feel you I could always do,
Happy or sad I knew what to say,
You in return would look into my soul and just know,
Together we worked too well to be,
Parted as we did way back then,
Our souls stayed locked together for all time that followed,
You can run and try to hide,
For the bond we two have together was just meant to be,
You and I will always be apart of us
