Joseph your childhood has been robbed,
your Mother and Farther died of A.I.DS
and left you with one sister and two brothers
to look after,
yet your still filled with laughter!

You work three nasty jobs to put food on the table,
you also have to look after your grandfarther who is not very able

Your two year old sister tested negative for H.I.V.
congratulations!
i just wish life was better for you,

You truly are an amazing Ten year old!

I was watching a programe about a hour ago,
and they were looking at the ways the kids are living in zambia,it was very upseting,the conditions these children had to work in were disgraceful,but they always had a smile on there face.

this one boy Joseph was truly Gem, no one should have to go through anything like this, but i tel you what,
there is no way i can moan about my problems,you know why?because they are not problems!

your heart displays the kind hearted compassionate person you are through the words you write and share..i'm right besides you and feel what you share, somehow it seems like a band aid can heal our mi-nute problems compared to the ongoing pain of the third world..hugs to you my sweet noble caring friend

There is a saying, when you think you've gone through the worst, there's always somebody out there in the world, that's going through tougher situations than you.... Sometimes, I think I have it bad, but when I look @ programs on TV, whether it's Maury, Montel, Oprah, or any other station, my heart goes out to them badly..... Very good Joseph! He is truly a gem as you've said! Lovely, sweet, touching, heartfelt poem Ben!
