I didn't realize
just how close love was to me
I raised my arms up to the sky

I touched the love
on a single star
the night was rooting for me

as the moon gave me a serene moment
to enjoy while the stars
adorned the light in the night

nature provided me with such
calming waters and a soothing breeze
to breathe in

along with the soft firm embrace
of a man so loving and true
with lips that made me quiver

upon impact to mine
being in love with love
has been so good to me

as I stand alone watching
my shadow reflect off the moon
in the water below
I see the sparkle of the man that I love

upon each and every star
that I reach up and touch
as they reflect their light off of the moon
that shares a lovers night out....
