Angel Of Mine
7 July, 2004

Inside I feel so empty
I'm tired yet wide awake
It's past midnight and I know
There has to be a reason why
My mind is stuck on the thought of you.
Tryed to fall asleep but couldn't
Still awake thinking of my angel.
He doesn't have wings
He dosen't need them
He doesn't have a halo
Never needed one.
My angel has saved me from everything
Harmful to my heart
And still manages to hold me with open arms.
You have saved me from myself
And gave me wings to fly
Thanks.

THis poem

reminds me of my son. He is always there when i need a lift. I have always thought of him as an angel sent from above. He was the reason for me leaving an abusive situation that i wouldn't have left otherwise. Thanks for the words.

jamie...

i am glad you left your abusive situation. your son seems like an amazing person, just know that children reflect that of their parents. thank you for reading.
