Sixty-five

Bob Dylan was growling
Like A Rolling Stone
Morrison was howling
Dog without a bone
I was itching
to be on my own
I wound up getting
totally blown

I left my home-town
in New Mexico
Packed up and rolled out
for the West Coast
Caught the Dead live
in San Francisco
I was looking to find out
what I didn't know

When the flower children
filled up Golden Gate Park
I was right there with them
smoking in the dark
Yeah, we were all flashing
on the moon and stars
But it all came crashing
and it came crashing hard

Sixty-Five...
It was a crazy, crazy time
Just fifteen...
going out of my mind
Boppin' down the street
spouting pscychedelic beatnick jive
To this very day
I don't know how I ever survived
Sixty-Five...
And those crazy, crazy times
Sixty-Five...
It was a crazy, crazy, crazy time

------- Author's Notes -------

This is based on a little bit of my biograghical history. Some of the most creative musicians ever came out of that time. It really was a CRAZY, CRAZY time. I am still having flashbacks!!
