Hugging My Pillow

I hug my pillow every night
After a long and lonely day.
It seems to comfort me a little
While you're so far away.

Holding my pillow so close to me,
Pretending I'm holding you,
Makes me feel that I am not alone,
That you are with me too.

My pillow gives me security,
Like a baby's pacifier.
Makes me feel so much closer
To the one I so admire.

All night long I wonder.
How long will I have to pretend?
I want you here besides me, dear.
I want this war to end.

Amazing

This is an astonishingly beautiful piece. Such depth and emotion -- Indeed powerful. Quite promising, and hope to see much more of yours. :)

Del, at one time or another we have...

all turned to a pillow for comfort to fill the empty cold space where a loved one belongs,(doesn't fullfil) i have a body pillow, yet it doesn't hug me back ,it has to serve me until i can wrap myself around my man. i dream of holding him yet its my pillow whom brings him alive..in my dreams while i'm in a deep sleep..love your work
