little child that
I hold in my heart
your so sweet
you mean the world to me
I was there
when you were born
an angel so sweet
that melted my heart
look at you now..
my how you've grown
sweet child growing too fast
in my eyes
you will always be
the little child
I hold in my heart
your laughter brings me joy
your hugs bring me love
near or far
night or day
you can call on me
I will be on my way
you will always mean
the world to me
and be the little child
close to my heart...

awww so sweet

This is a wonderful poem about a little child you hold in your heart.... Your heart is like a picture frame, with her photo inside.... I can envision the smile on her face, if she were to read this poem! What a wonderful mind you have Lady T! Keep on with those July 4th poems (firecracker poems)! Take care! Smiles, Meri

Like, Your Mommy & your, Daddy, I love You To

Little Child, heart so new, the world awaits you, as your, your mommy and daddy do. Yes, I love you to. Some day you will need, love, like, I share with you. Anytime, day or night, you can call on me, sometimes, you will need, someone else, besides, your mom and dad, to say, what is going on, and sometimes, you will cry for help, yet, in your heart, you say, don't let mom and dad know. Sweet baby, when I first met you, your heart, was no bigger than my thumb, now, you call for my help. I say to you, what ever the problem is, I will help you all I can, but, listen child, the best friends you will ever have, are your mom and dad. Yes, I will listen, but sometimes, even, as a child, you need to share, these special things, with your mom and dad. Now, think of that, before, you place, a burden upon my heart, I can not bear, it is not fair to me, or your mom and dad, sweet darlin, I'll help, you get there. -MV

Martin, thank you for appreciating this piece

my God-daughter/niece is very special not spoiled just very well loved,i try to make myself available to my sister and her offspring as much as they allow me, all the others have their own "Godparents" Riki has only a Godmother (my choice) in life we all face difficult decisions..and i hope that when it comes to her making choices she will choose the right..i faced many challenges..as a former child advocate i will always make myself available to any child, not just myown..not to replace a parent but to provide direction..in their life as well as mine..
