Missing You

Though I say I shall never cry again, these eyes of mine betray me - sending tears racing down my face. I try to put you out of my mind but this heart of mine deceives me - sending memories rushing back, those that fill my heart with joy and those that tear the walls of my heart. I love you and I can’t let go - so please don’t ask me to! My heart throbs ferociously and in agony....pounding blood through my veins that swell at the sound of your name.

How this cold frail body cries out in need of your warmth now!

Never shall I forget those sweet memories of holding you in my arms. Winter is here now and with it’s shortened days, my life drains away with it. The night is upon me and as it’s darkness grows so does the emptiness within me, because another days has passed me by that hasn’t allowed me to gaze upon your soothing eyes.

don't you hate it?

Hello Christina! Every time I force the tears not to come down, they come anyway.... So disobedient they are.... I know how you feel, when missing someone, you ache inside, and the feeling is almost near indescribable..... Nice way of explaining your emotions Christina! Great poem! Smiles, Meri
