I think of my life and the choices I make
The regrets that I hold, the turns that I take.
Should I go left or should I go right
Do I give up or continue to fight.
The questions that lay deep within my mind
Hoping the answers someday I will find.
At night when somber, I reflect my life
I ask myself was I truly a good wife.
Did I give my all or drive him away
Obviously If I was he would have stayed.
My beautiful daughter keeps me going day by day
I admire her and all her unique ways.
I've truly only given one man my heart
And after all these years he still holds the biggest part.
Although we are no longer together
He is still my soulmate now and forever.
He saved my life and gave me hope
He scraped me up and he taught me to cope.
So with all the lefts and rights I've turned
And all my life reflections, there's one thing I've learned.
I cannot take my wrongs and make them right
But I can wake up and see the light.
Today is my new day and what do I see
Nothing but new beginnings for me.
