As I sat alone in the dark last night
I saw just one star shining so bright.
Was it you my love looking down on me
Was it the sign I've been praying to see.

Life is so hard since you've gone away
So much time on my hands, every second of the day.
Looking for those memories that keep you near
My heart is so broken, I love you my dear.

Look to the future, move on so they say
How can they say that, it's only been days.
Do they think I can forget the love that we shared
When deep in my heart, you truly loved and cared.

So promise to always be with me and shine your glowing light
Just like that single star, alone, shining so bright.
Hold me close like you did from the very start
And I know deep within our hearts, We will never part.
