Many hours
Have been spent
Attempting to capture
Your essence and effect

But words
Have escaped-
Instead of rescued me
This time around

To describe
What is in my heart
Would be an injustice

Because words
Despite their power
Can become stale & meaningless
Unlike my sincerest feelings
For you
