Silent Tears
5 September, 2004

You may not see them
as they burn my checks
you may only see the stain left behind
maybe they only show
to those so unkind
but trust me
I'm crying on the inside

they go deep down
I can feel them falling
but you don't see, you don't see at all..
all you see is that smile
that smile you want me to have for u
vulnerable and weak
it cuts so deep it hurts

don't know how to stop them
they flood my eyes
they stream down my face
like rain coming down

anguish forced them to come
and hope forces them to stop
but when hope is gone
I'm left out in the cold
so that the frozen wind beats my skin
I feel them coming
from deep within.
