My Birthday Wish
Author: Amy BananaHead

On my birthday, I made a wish.
I wished that you wouldnt get sick.
I wished that all my toys and presents would go away,
So you could get better.
I wished so hard,
I even did it twice.
My wish didnt come true.
You got sicker and sicker.
I kept my toys and my presnts.
You went away.

Amy, your words draw tears to my soul....

your words touch a very sensitive spot in this moms heart, difficult to make a comment w/o a tear flowing down my cheek... the breaking away of the umbilical cord is such a harsh one...

Amy your words are from the heart,
Amy your words touch my soul,
I read your poems all of the time,
some I smile and some I cry,
I cry in a good way that you so young,
understand and write so well,
keep up the great writing,
Hugs Clive
