Fall Is Now Coming by Clive B Ringshall

I sit today and look around,
The sky so blue with clouds to touch,
The mountains proud to reach the heavens,
The birds now signing their final tune,
Around I see the cold wind as it blows,
Fall is knocking on each door,
Switching from air to heating,
Shorts are folded away once more,
Jeans and pants no longer, are stored away,
The crisp smell of seasons now changing,
Plants now hide till the warmth returns once more,
Soon thanks will be given to those who long ago started,
Christmas will come as it did before,
Smiles will be on children’s faces,
If you get the time this season,
Pass on a smile to a child far or near,
An extra gift brings a smile far and wide,
For you who read these words I write dear,
I give you the hope of a happy warm life.

Ii loved your positive upbeat outlook on the changing. It's better than bah humbug xmas and snow are coming. Thanks for a good attitude about life.

working in an acute hospital big demand to work holidays...many cannot of us cannot be w/family both our patients and the staff so we all spend/share the blessings.. and the love of the true meaning of the season..thank you for sharing such love hearted words, may they all be lovingly returned to you my friend..God Bless you...

Hey Clive! I didn't mean anything by that comment title, I just thought I'd rhyme today! With every season, there's change! Welcome back C! It was good to see a poem by you! Don't you just love fall? With the colorful leaves falling, making the ground look like a crayola land! I love it, and your poem had a SUPERB description!
