Ashes And Flames by LinzAy

Flames fall from the sky of this ashy world of mine
Slow motion is reality just to have my suffer through time
Wipe the tears off of my face that boil from the heat
Soot smears into my eyes temporarily blinding me

As I struggle to see just one ounce of daylight
Flames rain upon me slowing my fight

I swim in ashes breast high, forget to hold my breath and suffocate
I struggle just to breathe, knowing it's death I should just await
There's a fire in me somewhere, though, stronger than the one that pours down from the sky
I can't just be weakened ashes waiting to say goodbye

As I struggle to see just one ounce of daylight
Flames rain upon me slowing my fight
Weak, I drop to my knees covering myself in ashes deep
I clasp my hands together and ask for you to save me

I must have been touched by an angel for now I can see
Everything you've done and given unto me
I shouldn't have been so blind before I believed
I'm so sorry I had to be burned before I believed

Now I see the daylight that shines brightly upon my life
I rid myself the flames and praise you for the teaching strife
Now, I slowly fall to my knees just to speak my love to you
For everything you've taught me, I thankyou

this was such an awesome piece..so deep ,sad and inspiring by testimony at the end... i loved it very.... (wiping tears) deep and heartfelt...
