A Lonely, Cup Of Coffee
Author: ShyHeart

Have you ever felt, no one, even knew you were alive
Felt the world you lived in, belonged to yourself, no one else
No one else, ever showed or shared, a tender touch, or, heard your words
Have you ever felt, like the only cloud in the sky, was you, floating by

Have you ever had a cup of coffee, asked for some sugar
The waitress just passed you by, to busy with other orders
As you looked out the window, saw cars flying by, in the rain
Tail lights, flashing by, symbols of a destination, you, will never know

Sometimes, even an honset heart, will cry, it told no lies
Just seems, some things work out, for your friends
Yet, when they ask you, how are you doing, you reply
Just living my life, from this coffee cup, watching, tail lights flying by

Then you see, a police car, goes flying by, its red lights flashing
Saying, this is an emergency, let me by, someone, needs help
Then, I realize, my world is not as lonely as I thought
Someone else, is flashing red lights, in need of help, tonight

I feel beter now, not as alone as I did, when the waitress, passed me by
Down the road, some tail lights, never reached their destination
Someone else will cry tonight, as I set here and drink my coffee
Without the sugar, I needed, someone else, will cry tonight

the right kind of thinking

Martin this poem shows what I've always thought.
Someone has it worse than we do . thats why I'm so thankful for little things in life. Some don't even have a little. Loved this way of thinking.

A Lonely Cup of coffee, how many have you had?

You seem, to feel my heart. We are fortunate, to even have a hot cup of coffee, while others do all the can, just to find, someting to eat, Barb, you and one other seem to understand, life can be a lonely, wind, blowing mist, stopping us, from reaching our destination, the flying wind and rain, lead some of us to our end, and others, it leads us to our future.

Thank You Barb,
