Let’s Make This A Better Place For Our Children To Live In

I remember a place back then,
I remember it said again and again,
Make this a better place for our children to live in,
Generations grow and the same thing is said,
Make this a better place for our children to live in,
I remember asking why better,
So you do not have to grow with pollution,
So you do not have war in your time,
So you will never know what it is to be a slave,
So you can grow and learn,
So you can live a healthy life,
All this and more I was told,
But still you hear those famous words,
Let’s make this a better place for our children to live in,
Since the beginning of time,
Generations have said these words,
Let’s make this a better place for our children to live in,
The time for words has long since passed,
It’s time we made this a better place to live,
To stop slavery that yes still exists,
Just look for a sweat shop and you will see,
Visit another country like Mexico and Peru,
Would you work for cents a day?
War in our time it still goes on,
Let’s make this a better place for our children to live in,
Pollution is now at its peek,
Let’s make this a better place for our children to live in,
Slavery still goes on at the hands of them,
You now their names each one,
Gap with Wal-mart to name just two,
pay a wage aboard, 37cents a day,
No benefits not one, oh they give out the pill,
You take it or no job tomorrow,
Let’s make this a better place for our children to live in
I beg you all let’s start to change,
Too late it already may be,
But together we can start,
Get involved,
Start to question why,
One small voice can soon a choir become,
Let’s say it for real and believe it when said,
Let’s make this a better place for our children to live in.
