Angels In Training

With eyes wide shut we miss to much,
The helping person just giving a hand,
I’ll open the door and see you through,
We see bravery in so many ways,
We see a blessing most everyday,
With eyes wide shut all this we miss,
Unless it’s on the 6 o’clock news,
With your heart on that sleeve,
Eyes open not shut,
Take another long look,
People are the same for you and me,
Good and different we all can be,
With your eyes not shut,
Open that door smile hello,
Lets all be an angel to another a day,
After all that’s what we will someday be,
So an angel in training we all can try,
In a week you’ll see kindness that flows,
In a week you’ll see bravery in places forgotten,
In a week you’ll feel better just knowing,
It all starts with You and Me today,
