Someone In Need
I bet if you looked in the mirror,
I could guess what you'd see,
Someone who took the wrong path,
And that person so blind as can be.
No one to guide them in the right path,
No one to tell them they're wrong,
Even though you know no one is there,
You still decide you're not strong.
Not one of your friends can tell you this,
Not one of your friends even care,
Tomorrow you could die alone,
And not a single person would be there.
I don't know your story too well,
But I've seen you at your worst,
I bet I would be the only one there,
Now isn't that a first?
We're not even friends anymore,
And I wouldn't want to be,
Because you are so messed up right now,
I just hope someday you'll see.
I've heard you're not too well anymore,
I don't want to care, but I do,
So do your loved ones a favor,
And just go back to being you.
This poem might mean shit to you,
Go ahead and throw it away,
I know you must be hurting now,
But I've said whats been needed to say.
------- Author's Notes -------
I wrote this poem because an old friend of mine had made a horrible mistake. She started doing drugs, drinking, smoking, let alone at age 15. We used to be best friends, but I didn't like her anymore because of how she became, we were all disgusted. Now she doesn't have any of her old friends, her boyfriend, her own mother isn't even there for her. So I decided to give her the "guidance" that no one was willing to give. I sent it to her in the mail, unmarked. I just hope that she gets the message. And I prey that people out there like this, get the help they need before it's too late. God Bless!

you can't live another persons life,
we don't even know their strife...
all you can do is try to help,
at least you've taken one big step...
she'll have to do it from here,
you did what you could, to ease her fear...
Great job on your poem...you've done all you can do...you tried to help...
your friend ...
