Time has no meaning,
It just goes on and on.
Bringing tomorrow after yesterday,
Making the loneliness grow strong.

If it were to stop
Would the loneliness die too?
Would we all have a friend to laugh with -
One each for me and you?

To Mike

simple yet complex. Excellent poem, definitely was a good read. :)

...

This poem gave me a headache. Me being thick again...BUT..."Would we all have a friend to laugh with" You will always have a friend to laugh with unless you are blocking them

Really effective.

I really like this one. The shortness is so effectvie, as Vampyr said: "it says so much in so little". I think about stuff like this poem too. The shortness of the poem also feels like you're reading a life coming to an end, man I should have studied your poems for my English Lit GCSE. ;) How could they give me an A not A star? :P [gets over myself]
