vinebar

In a world full of hatred and aversion,
stands an emotion that yearns for me to see it through.
It chips away at the wall I've built around my broken heart,
searching for a clear path in.
Long have I waited for this day to arrive where I can let down my guard.
I stand face to face with the one who can make me or break me.
I lose myself in his eyes,
I am enchanted by his soft lips,
and captivated by his warm embrace.
Never have I been so happy just to see ones face,
and hear one speak so sweetly and gently.
Where that dark wall once stood
now stands nothing but my heart out in the open.
This is now my one and only refuge.

vulnerable!

The walls of silence are deafening, and the foundation runs deep. Sturdy and impenetrable, always reliable, even to the most seductive forces. However, its one flaw is love, it seeps through not from the outside but from within. We are our own worse enemy, making our fortress vulnerable. But isn't best to love and hurt rather than never to have been loved and free of hurt? Aubrey, the key is to love yourself first and feel worthy rather than look for worthiness through the love of another. Keepup writing whether extreme or not, you're very good!
