Stand-still
Author: Aubrey

I chew
I bite
I swallow my pride
I walk
I run
I cling to your side
I listen
I talk
I hear every word you say
I breathe
I awake
I love you more every day
Why can't I breathe your air?

I fight
I feel
I do all that I can
I fall
I stand
I take it like a man
I sleep
I dream
I make believe it's all real
I keep quiet
I explode
I say how I feel
Why can't I breathe your air?

I cry
I laugh
I wish I was yours
I try
I fail
I hide within closed doors
I advance
I digress
I live for today
I blossom
I bloom
I turn into decay
Why can't I breathe your air?

wondering?

i wonder sometimes if the one we love and lose realizes the stress and hollowness that evolves from their departure? i wonder also why we feel as though the world will end if we aren't with this person, but yet we become resiliant enough to bounce back and ironically do it all over again.i like this poem aubs,,, it's got a unique style...
