My Affliction
7 November, 2004

You drop from the sky
saturating the plants
but draining my body
Why can't you let me overflow?
Some find your sound gratifying
But I find it deafening
Why can't you bring me serenity?
Your aftermath brings peace
but I am weary to recover
I await your next attack
