Forbidden Love

Gathering darkness as my friend
that covers me when I am alone,
still remembering those feelings
tearing my thoughts, every one,
shaking with fear and it's stronger
every moment I sense the presence of danger,

Death looming over me so often
like time just waiting in the moment,
hoping as I quicken my pace
that I will break and give my consent,
for them to take me away from this life
but I don't stop, I control the knife,

I am no longer trapped in this realm
I know what to do, and what is,
feeling the heat of a love I cannot have,
yet I hurt, I still watch and I miss,
what I know we could have entwined
if only, if only she would be mine.

R.D.

Hey Ruby! It's nice to see you up here again! What happened to ya? I'm glad to see another poem posted by the geniune man himself, "THE DRAGON SLAYER"! Pretty poem on forbidden love!
This reminds me of Adam and Eve, and the fruit! Loving something or someone, even though you know it's wrong, but you do it anyway, because of temptation, and because the picture looks enticing! Nicely done R.D.

Smiley face,
Meridian

Nice to read you back.......

I like these words you thought out so well,
I agree with Meri on this,
A love so true yet out-of-bounds, but temptation is as bad as free-will, it will be done.
Thank you for writing and sharing
