Names On The Wall
11 November, 2004

I see your names upon the wall,
I read your stories told so bold,
In that time of fear you wrote to tell,
In that time of fear you hoped to return well,
You fought so long with all your might,
Young you were yet old at sixteen,
One day you were courting the next you are fighting,
Your country choose well,
Seeing the man in a boy,
You fought long hours always longing for home,

It was at night an attack from the dark,
Bullets were flying in a direction to find,
Tanks in the distance as the ground trembled loud,
You stayed in that hole defending your mates,
To thank you all with a tear on my face,
Is never enough as my heart falls apart,
To see you home and living your life,
To all you who never came home,
I miss each you each one with the love in my heart,
To all those still fighting,
Because you are told,
I want most for you to be home very soon,
