What's happening in this house just now?
The T.V.'s turned up high
Loud music's blaring out upstairs
Heavy footsteps of some guy
Food's disappearing from the fridge
Dishes piled in the sink
Boxes, cases everywhere
Am I happy with what's going on here?
My son's home from Uni

I think it's called life. Having your son home is like getting life back. I liked the way you describe it ,you can tell you're happy to have him home even with all the kayos.
