Some Girl
Author: Anthony Wright

I spy a girl not far away
whose humor lightens up the place
whose smile brightens up the day
whose beauty goes beyond her face

Shes cute and funny when she sings
with gentle voice and eyes so kind
She takes my heart and strums the strings
and does a number on my mind

Her step is light upon this Earth
she treads upon no living thing
she makes me glad at my own birth
like I was born to be a king

She holds a wisdom past her years
and speaks with a sweet knowing voice
her goodness brings me close to tears
and makes my hardened soul rejoice

If only language could impart
all feelings felt so deep and true
If only lips could speak the heart
imagine wonders words would do

Id like to ask her for her vow
that she will share with me her life
Id ask her, truly, here and now
Butshe already is my wife
